Throughout the lockdown period our Customer Service, Helpdesk and Development teams have continued to work hard, ensuring we were on hand to help those customers who needed our support. We were also able to introduce a number of new developments across the BookingsPlus platform, improving the system for our customers.
Instant Pay…
Our major development is due to be launched soon and allows venues the ability to collect instant payments from customers as soon as the booking is inputted onto the system either by a hirer or an administrator, ensuring all bookings are paid for in advance, eliminating debtors. This upcoming development is in direct response to feedback from our customers and also brings our software in line with some of the features offered by our competitors. The next phase of our instant payment feature is to introduce automated direct debits meaning that repeat payments can be taken from regular customers for their bookings, automatically. Watch this space!

New VAT feature…
We’ve released a new VAT feature enabling customers to define multiple VAT rates to be charged for bookings. The flexibility to support different VAT rates, means that hire charges can be changed quickly and easily should there be any changes to VAT rates by the venue or centrally by the government.
New Host feature…
We’ve added an option to include Host details to bookings making it easier for site staff to identify who (the Host) will actually be attending the session on site on the day of the booking. The hosts contact details are also visible so that they can be contacted at short notice, if required. As well as the hirer, who receives booking confirmation and cancellation emails, the Host will now receive automated communications from the software ensuring they are up-to-date with any booking cancellations and amends.
